Best Armenian submission in OpenAI’s Global Competition will win 500,000 AMD prize

Armenian AI researchers and engineers now have an opportunity to compete in one of the world’s most demanding open AI research challenges.

Eleveight AI, YerevaNN and Yerevan State University have launched Parameter Golf Armenia to support Armenia-based participants in OpenAI’s Parameter Golf competition.

This competition is a global research challenge that pushes participants to build the most efficient language model possible under strict technical constraints. Only submissions that outperform existing state-of-the-art results appear on OpenAI’s official leaderboard.

As part of the initiative, Eleveight AI is sponsoring 500,000 AMD for the strongest Armenian submission and providing registered participants access to YSU’s supercomputer infrastructure. The company noted that supporting the local AI ecosystem is one of its core priorities. In alignment with the Government of Armenia’s vision for a “Garden of AI Factories,” Eleveight AI is planning to dedicate 20 percent of its total compute capacity as grants to Armenian universities, research institutions, and non-commercial organizations. Supporting Parameter Golf Armenia Competition is one of many initiatives planned to empower local AI ecosystem and talents.

To be considered for the prize, participants must submit their final solutions through a separate submission form by May 1, in the form of a GitHub link or code archive.

Participants are also encouraged to submit by April 14 for an optional intermediate assessment on a blind multilingual benchmark, including Armenian. The intermediate leaderboard will be announced on April 18, during AI Conf Armenia, giving participants early performance feedback ahead of the final deadline.
