Pandai Education Triumphs at WITSA World Cup 2024

The World Innovation, Technology, and Services Alliance (WITSA) has announced Malaysia’s Pandai Education as the global champion of the WITSA World Cup (WWC). Competing against 16 startups and technology companies from 10 countries, Pandai Education emerged victorious with its innovative educational platform, securing the prestigious Zohari Challenge Trophy. The participating companies showcased cutting-edge solutions across sectors such as education, healthcare, banking, commerce, and digital advertising optimization.

Global Innovation Event Marks a Milestone

“The WITSA World Cup is a milestone in our efforts to promote global tech innovation. By uniting the brightest entrepreneurial minds from across the world, we are helping to cultivate an ecosystem of support, partnership, and investment that will shape the future of technology,” stated WITSA CEO Dato’ Dan E Khoo.

The award ceremony was held during the WCIT2024/DigiTec event in Yerevan, Armenia, on October 7, 2024, at the Karen Demirtchian Complex. The competition brought together startups from countries such as Spain, Romania, Greece, Armenia, Jordan, Malaysia, Egypt, the United Kingdom, and Bahrain, who had previously won national competitions in their respective countries. These national winners represented their nations on the global stage in Armenia.

Armenian Startups Shine at WITSA World Cup

Two Armenian startups, Text’nPayMe and AllClean, were among the finalists at the WITSA National Competition held in Armenia in August 2024. They earned the opportunity to present their solutions at the WITSA World Cup, demonstrating Armenia’s growing potential in the tech industry. Text’nPayMe is a fintech and deep tech company specializing in secure, in-app payment solutions for banks, fintechs, telecoms, and online shops. AllClean connects residential cleaning companies with property managers, simplifying operations.

Throughout the three-day WCIT2024/DigiTec event, companies presented their ideas and innovations. In the final round of the WITSA World Cup, two Malaysian companies competed for the top prize. Ultimately, Pandai Education was recognized for its scalable platform, which enhances learning through personalized educational tools and assessments, making a significant impact on both educators and students.

WCIT2024/DigiTec: A Hub for Global Tech Discussions

WCIT2024/DigiTec, held from October 4-7, 2024, was one of the year’s most anticipated technological events. The opening of the conference was marked by an open-air concert in Yerevan’s Republic Square, featuring the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra led by Sergey Smbatyan, followed by a special performance by American singer Jason Derulo.

The event, held at the Karen Demirtchian Sports Complex and the Meridian Expo Center, featured three days of keynotes and panel discussions on artificial intelligence (AI) under the theme “THE POWER OF MIND: AI Beyond Limits, Within Ethics.” The discussions focused on the global impact of information technology, highlighting the importance of applied sciences, investments, and expanding technology’s reach into diverse regions and economies.
