On June 1-2, 2022, the international technology conference EMERGE will be held in the capital of Armenia, Yerevan. The event will bring together more than two thousand representatives of the IT industry from the United States, countries of Western and Eastern Europe, the Balkan region and Central Asia. Among the speakers are representatives of TechCrunch, Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, Snap Inc., Pinterest, Google Deepmind, Glovo and many other international companies
The EMERGE conference is dedicated to new technologies, startup issues and global trends in IT. Over the course of two days, several dozen speakers from all over the world, including those from the field of venture capital investments, will speak at the event. Namely: Speedinvest, Runa Capital, a delegation of investors from the Czech Republic (Presto Ventures, Depo Ventures), accelerators Startups Wise Guys, Rockstart and more than a hundred and fifty investors.
Speakers include Mike Butcher (TechCrunch, Techfugees), Alena Doletskaya (ex-Vogue Russia, Interview Russia), Davit Bagdasaryan (Krisp), Stoyan Yankov (author of PERFORM: The Unsexy Truth about (Startup) Success, ex-Startup Wise Guys ), Chris Farber (Openface), street art artist Sereg Navasardyan, and co-founder of Picsart, the first “unicorn” startup with Armenian roots, Mikael Vardanyan.
The conference will be held at the Gabriel Sundukyan National Academic Theatre. The official language of the event is English.
The mission of the conference is to share hot trends and insights from various industries with IT specialists, founders and investors, as well as to become a platform for high-quality networking of participants.
There will be two main tracks on the main stage: about trends (#trendwatching) and stories of company founders (#founderstories). On the track about trends, experts will discuss how our lives are being transformed under the influence of rapidly developing technologies. The track, dedicated to startup founders, will focus on personal success stories and life challenges that entrepreneurs have had to go through. They will share their experience in creating a company strategy, evaluating a niche, entering the global market and attracting venture capital investments.
An important detail about the conference: EMERGE gives ticket holders the opportunity not only to get to know each other at the event, but also to participate in matchmaking. Namely: arrange tête-à-tête meetings with speakers and investors upon request, as well as book mentoring sessions. A ticket to the conference gives access to third-party activities – additional events, including parties.
Traditionally, special attention at the conference will go to the annual startup competition – EMERGE CHALLENGE. The winners will receive investments and prizes from Amazon Web Services. Last year at the EMERGE conference, startups raised over €5 million in investments.
